Halfway Home

Well Reader, we’re halfway there!  I can’t believe it.  This Kickstarter has 408 backers.  4-0-8. Have a mentioned I can’t believe it?

This week, my husband Mark and I built a Viking ship and shamelessly sat outside in it at local farmer’s markets in Rockford to try to spread the word about the project.  We’re pulling out every stop, and so has our community. Truly: whether or not this Kickstarter ‘succeeds,’ I still feel like it has been a success.

The album for my baby is almost done…just a couple songs left to mix this week, and then it’s off to be pressed into cds.  (Aside…IT SOUNDS SO AWESOME!)  I’ve got my fingers crossed that I’ll be mailing out copies to all of the backers in a little more than a month!

And finally, in baby news, it’s still in my belly!  Pre-term labor symptoms continue, but I guess this child still isn’t ready to meet the world yet.  I’ll let you know just as soon as he or she makes an appearance.

Reader, summer is in full swing, and I hope the sun and time outdoors are treating you well.  This week’s reflection can be summed up entirely with a simple thought: we are living in a great time. I’ll see you back here next week. -Em
