The Thrill Of Karma

Hi, Reader. Right now, I’ve got a front row seat on my couch tonight for the Women’s World Cup Final. We’re currently two goals up and only four minutes into the game; go USA!

What a tremendous week. With one month left, the Kickstarter is 38% funded.  I know we’ve got a long way to go, but I’m so hopeful. If you’ve contributed, THANK YOU.  You’ve kept my spirits high this week.

What has struck me about this whole Kickstarter process is just how real karma is. Not just my karma, but karma in general.  I can’t tell you how many people have contributed to my project because of the acts of kindness done for them by my parents.  Or the acts of kindness done for them by my grandparents. Or the acts of kindness done for them by some complete stranger, so they just felt like giving.

Truly, giving begets giving.  And I just feel like declaring to you, Reader: no matter what happens with this Kickstarter, I will never stop giving. To help and support and share with others is one of the greatest thrills of being alive. As I’m about to bring a baby into the world, I hope one day they will feel this way one day, too.

And just like that, USA is up 4-0.  I’m going to sit back and watch the game. I hope you had a wonderful 4th of July, Reader! -Em
